Interim Financial Management

Basic financial skills

There are some basic skills that an interim finance manager needs:

At the finance number 1 level in a large organisation, these hands-on skills may be not so as important as other skills that an accountant learns in training, such as reviewing numbers, asking questions about specific variances to budget and about the unexpected compared to what's actually happening in a business. However without the basic skills, these advanced skills will not be useful.

The pages behind these links examine my specific hands-on experience in these areas, either as a number 1 or as a number 2.
